Aftermarket gauge options
I've been having some issues with the factory third gen gauge cluster in my '86 Camaro and its finally to the point where they aren't really accurate anymore except the fuel gauge. I've seen lots of people swap in an Autometer speedo, tach, volt, oil pressure and fuel gauges into the dash but i don't know how they do it. Has anyone on here done this before and are willing to share some knowledge? Thanks in advance for any advise!

I would think, that if you can find a set of guages that are electronic, as long as they are short enough to fit in the dash, all you would need is to make a bezel to install them in the factory gauge housing, and wire them either to the factory wires or run new wires. Analog gauges will need some routing for the oil capillary and temp line.
If you are not dead set on multiple gauges, I would check out some of the full clusters available. I believe there is Intellitronix in several colors, and Dakota Digital makes one or two styles.

I just got an email from Intellitronix. They’re offering 20% off anything on their website this weekend with promo code: GARAGE TIME

Thank you both for the input and the code! I'll definitely check out both sites to see what they offer

Nothing wrong with Intellitronix but a traditional gauge is definitely more my speed. ....check out Speedhut too. Really nice set of gauges and they're customizable too.

I prefer the traditional cluster as well. I'm not a big fan of the Intellitronix setup but I love the Dakota Digital setup. I'll probably go with Dakota Digital. The website won't let me post any pics of the two different gauges clusters I looked at so others can check them out

Looks like Dakota Digital doesn't offer clusters for thirdgen birds. Bummer
