LED side marker in-op

Need some advice guys. I installed all LED bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs. They all work great except the side marker LED lights. In the video shows my issue at hand. Any advice what could be causing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Note that I'm using grounded LED flashers for both hazards and turn signals. Thank you.

Re: LED side marker in-op

It is NOT the Headlights turning ON that makes a difference...
It is the Front Parking Lamps turning ON that is making a difference.

The Circuit resistance (with the LED Bulbs) does not match/ correspond with the Flasher Module that you are using.
There are many different Flasher Module Values...

I Personally HATE those Flasher Modules!

I use the Original Flasher with all LED Bulbs...
But there must be One Ballast resistor (Wired in Parallel)...
For the same number of Original Filaments (over 5 watts) used in each Circuit.

Basically, what I just said was...
Every time you replace an 1157 Bulb with a LED...
You must install a Ballast Resistor with that LED.

This does NOT apply to the 194 Bulbs (they have a very low wattage value).

So I need just one of these or one per LED bulb?

Re: LED side marker in-op

Resistors are supposed to prevent hyper flash, but I don't think they'll be the difference between light vs no light.

The front turn signal sockets for 3rdgens have three wires: blue (signal), brown (parking), and a ground wire. But the side marker sockets have only two wires, both power: blue (signal) and brown (parking); there's no ground wire directly to the side marker sockets. Those blue and brown wires are the same blue and brown wires that go through turn signal sockets, so the ground for the side markers comes indirectly from the turn signal sockets.

Incandescent bulbs are not polarized, so they're able to function properly in such a scheme, regardless of how they're plugged into the socket. But most LEDs are polarized, with one side positive and the other side negative. Try non-polarity LEDs. They've not been easy to find in the past, but they do exist and are becoming more common.

Re: LED side marker in-op

SUCCESS!! No load register needed. Bought 2 non-polar 194 bulbs from SuperBrightLEDs and now the flashing works perfect.
