Quick alarm question

One if my 3rdgens' came w/ an alarm the previous owner installed, using only the starter kill feature. I want to remove this in the freak event that I lose the 1 remote I have or have the battery in the remote go out.

Where is the "starter kill" portion of the alarm? Can
I simply cut out the sensor on the dash (i.e. is the on/off inside that, or is there more?). Sorry, I've never used alarms b/f, and have absolutely no idea on the make of this particular one...

Drop the lower dash, and find the unit. If it's like any typicall install, it'll all be right there staring at you. Notice that most of the wires of the unit are simply spliced onto the factory wires, without cutting the factory wire at all....... you can cut the aftermarket wires off one by one, and tape up the exposed part.

The only wire in the car that's going to be more complex, is the starter wire......... the installer will have cut the thick yellow wire in half, and wired it to an ordinary relay.... the relay is controlled by the keyless unit. (A few units actually have the relay built inside, instead.) Anyway, remove all that stuff until you just have the car's yellow factory starter wire cut in two pieces..... reconnect the two pieces to each other and that should be it.
