Re: 700r4 tranny

great. I just wanna make sure that the tranny is a good match for my 350 1986 IROC. So the tranny works just fine right? Shifting is smooth, good kickdown, no fluid leaks?

Re: 700r4 tranny

part# 8663549

It came out of my 91Z and has a GM goowrench sticker that says remanufacted from GM Transmisions " Service replacement trans assembly"

Should be good to go just replace oil and put a new filter in it for good measure.

Re: 700r4 tranny

I found a green medal tag with serial# 6128 213848 and also #3BF M4
Says Hrydromatic DIV OF GEN MTRS

Tag is on the side about 2x3 inches in size.

That picture you have looks like a sticker and if so mine is worn off.

Re: 700r4 tranny

I bought the car for another turbo project 1500HP build. I wanted a very clean rust free hardtop car and I found this car who was the second owner and was friends with the original owner. It was rebuilt just before he pulled it of the road for a engine build that never got completed. It worked fine if you want 100% gaurante you will have to buy a brand new one. I have bought and sold alot on here for 10+ years and just need to clean out stuff that is piling up.

Your sig says your in CA how to you intend to get the tranny?

Re: 700r4 tranny

K. $200 aint no big deal. One major question. Is the tranny Speedo cable ready, or is it electronic speedometer?

Re: 700r4 tranny

ooo. I'm gonna have to think about it. my 86 is a cable type. Let me sit on it. If you find another buyer, it ain't no biggie. By all means, dont let me hold u back. Sell her if the opportunity arises.
