3.42 or 3.73 gearset for 7.5" 10 bolt, and 26 spline carrier

well since i cant find an entire rear axle

i need to find a good shape 3.42 or 3.73 gear set and non posi carrier for 26 spline(87 and older)

7.5" 10 bolt only
good used condition only, or new unused

bearings must be in good shape too

i would want the shims and other stuff from in there too, if at all possible

this is very risky for me to do a gear set and carrier series swap like this especially when i never have before, but i have no choice now

but i have to do something to lose this 2.73 garbage under my 82 t/a

how much for what you haveto 62656 basic rate only

or do you see anything here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...rts/?start=all
that you may trade or partially trade with me ?

thanks

There is a lot more to it than you think. expect about $180 for the gears, another $100 or so for the full install kit, and another $100 or so in special tools. Plus you have to know what your doing.

Good luck! it's gonna explode.

i didnt ask you to come in here and preach to me about this in which i already know all about

i have been inside of many a rear axle i am no stranger to them i know how they work and that they have certain clearances and backlash settings, im tired of ppl making and believing their own false assumptions, both on here and in this world

unless you have parts i am looking for then please dont reply

i posted this thread in order to find parts, and not to receive negative replies, opinions ,or info that is not useful at all

thanks

Stock 3.42's = $55 + shipping. Gears are from a Firebird with under 70K.

Shipping will be $10.25.

I should still have all the guts from this rear as well - but the carrier is gone. You can have the guts, but may have to pay additional shipping if every thing will not fit in a 'Flat Rate' box.

LMK if your interested.
