WTT/WTB ZF6spd (feeler)
I have a project that needs a certain trans sooo
I'm starting a search for a 91ish black label ZF6
I need the
trans, shifter(nice shape handle) trans/ driveshaft yoke and the inner outer boots.
I have a 40k ish T56 from a 95-6ish formula for possible trade.
has bellhousing, flywheel, stock clutch setup, pressure plate, disc, Arm and arm/hydro spacer, bolts.
doesnt have shifter, hyds, pedals
Let me know whats out there.

A TH400 yoke fits the S6-40. What will you do for bellhousing & clutch? Stock it uses a pull clutch with a springless hub, the stock flywheel is a dual mass one. Running a springless hub without dual mass does work but does make a lot more noise.
If you get a shifter, make sure you get the little reverse lockout pull **** w/ hex set screw too. They break very easily.

Re: WTT/WTB ZF6spd (feeler)
I have the special bellhousing covered. Its the one on the right. the trans Xmember isnt correct but it will work until I get the proper one.
The clutch and hyds are all from the 91-2 F-car with a supposedly "special" disc.
the only problem I'm really having is the pivot stud. The early T-5 bellhousing I have has coarse threads and the special ZF bell I have has a fine thread. Was there a switch somewhere in the Fcar lineup or do I need to go hunting??

What is that? a welded up aluminum housing? Those alu ones are rare, most of them are magnesium. What baffles me is, it doesn't have the ribs in the trans mating flange part like all I have seen do. Is this some custom piece or something off a firehawk? (have never seen what SLP used, I figured they modded alu bells and welded on T5 hydraulic mounts just like that) Good score! Wish I had it LOL, I have a black tag ZF6 with a non fitting mag bell BTW, I myself think the ZF6 shifts far superior to the T56, have one in 91 vette, one in a project car and a spare. They are so much better than the T56, especially if you use a shorter throw shifter on them.
The s6-40 doesn't have a trans mount, only the C beam pad. Or you will ahve to find one out of a lotus omega, i think those did come with a trans mount.
You can get the stud from ZFDoc Bill Boudreau most likely. There was a co. that sold a slightly longer clutch ball stud for a non dual mass FW and use w LT5 pressure plate (I have it) but for the life of me I can't remember who it was.

Wet sump with a old (optional) Hamburger pan. Keep it as close as I can to the production models!

Re: WTT/WTB ZF6spd (feeler)
I got off the phone with Bill "VZdoc" awhile ago and he said that needs to be done to the tail section. crazy..
I have pix of the Hawks Xmember setup and im fairly close to finding the "correct" setup. but it'll be awhile..

The thru bolts and steel box in the pic where the vette C-beam bolts on.

Re: WTT/WTB ZF6spd (feeler)
It's real easy to fab so really not that big of a deal
The pad is not too strong as it is, mine was cracked quite badly so I removed the tail section and welded it all back up and ground it down. It's impossible to see I repaired it but do check yours for cracks. Would suck if yoou had to take it off to fix it at a later date

I happen to have a brand spankin new, never used TH400 yoke laying around from Dennies if you need one. I also have my motorcycle up on craigs, depending if it I get enough out of the old zuki I might very well take that T56 off your hands. TBD...

I absolutely cannot wait to see the clone car when it's done. I will make a special trip out to the shop to see if when it's ready for its debut.
