Re: Looking for a Edelbrock 3860 lower intake manifold
Hi Clements408.
I have a 3861 that I'm trying to sell here, but I'm having a horrible time posting in the classified ad section for some reason. It is brand new and still in the original box. I bought it for a build that hasn't gotten off the ground yet.
I certainly don't want to waste your time, but I thought this might work for you, even if it isn't the 3860. This does appear to be identical to the 3860 in terms of emissions provisions. In fact, the number "3860" is cast into the bottom of the manifold itself. It is my understanding that the edges are machined a little differently and that may be the only difference.
If you're interested, I'd like $200.00, including shipping.
If not, good luck in your search!

1989roadster,
Thank you for offering this option which would work and NIB is a great find. I already purchased a manifold early today so cannot take you up on this offer. It will sell quickly so get it listed on the classified section.

Re: Looking for a Edelbrock 3860 lower intake manifold
I appreciate the heads-up, but I already sold it as part of a package. Plus, the fact that I could get it sold fairly quickly was also a factor in this case.
It has now sold, along with my SuperRam.
The other thing is that, for what it's worth, I've found that the "vulture" factor is always in play on Ebay. It's not a bad place to post items for sale, but there are people there that will squeeze the nickel until the buffalo farts no matter how good a deal you offer up front.
That need to chisel the last penny out of someone from so many I've encountered on Ebay can be frustrating and a bit insulting sometimes, and I've had some good luck on these boards before, so I reached out to people here. I've found that people here, at least with respect to third-gen related items, tend to be honest and fair-minded. I hope I haven't spoken too soon.
But again, thanks for the tip.
