Hey guys what would be one of the best swap engines for a 89 Firebird with a 2.8L V6. I'm thinking maybe a nice ZZ4 from GM GoodWrench or something. Wha tyou guys think?
Depending on your mechanical skills, I'd say build your own. Then you don't have to settle on what someone else thinks is a good combo of parts. Its exactly what you want, at a cheaper price. Plus, you have the satisfaction of knowing that you did it!

A lot of people will tell you exactly what he told you and others will tell you to go for the crate motors! I went with the crate motor b/c it is brand new and comes with a warranty. You can't beat that, except for the price, but remember, you pay for what you get. If you want to go fast, it aint cheap, everyone will tell you that. I would say go with whatever is best for you. If you have the money and would like a new motor, go with the crates. If you have knowlege on building motors, then build a motor, but if you had that knowlege i doubt you would make this post! You would already be well on your way to building a bad *** motor. Do what suits you. Just don't cut too many corners b/c you will only be cheating your motor's/car's potential! good luck
