how hard is it to drop a complete drivetrain from a vetter trans engine and rear end

The LS6 engine can be retrofitted. Unfortunately the trans and rear from an LS6 vette will not work because they are completely different from the f-body setup. The C5 has a rear trans axl coupled with IRS. You will be better off using trans and rear from a wrecked 4th gen.
I agree. The LS6 will go in fine, so will the tranny. It's a plain 'ol 4L60E just like in the f-body's. Only difference is that there is a 'Torqe Tube' in between the engine and tranny. Kinda in the place of a driveshaft. The rear definitely won't work. It's set up differently because of the IRS.
