LT1 heads
I've been browsin for heads for my LT1 , i notice there isn't that large of a selection.. Any recommendations to get the most power out of the lt1 with a cc306 cam.. what heads would be best, and what work should be done to them.

If you've got the money, AFR LT4 heads are the way to go. You'll be able to get outstanding power with those heads and cam. If money is tight, get ported stock castings. They will flow great and still let you get good power. My friend is using stock ported heads with a 306 and pcmforless tune. He's still putting it all together so we'll wait and see what kind of power he puts down.

you could always look at the new LT1 heads that edelbrock has out. It has your standard performance valve size (1.94 and 1.55) but should be much better than stock.

I looked at the Edelbrock's last night, don't seem to shabby. 73 hp with those heads and their cam isn't too bad at all. I wonder what those heads would do with a different cam and some porting. I looked at Trick Flow but couldn't find any LT1 heads. Although I did like their 18* heads
