Stroking the LT1, how big can it be done?
Does the LT1 have the same stroking capabilities as the gen 1 small block chevy? Or could a LT1 be bored and stroked to a larger displacement than a 383?

It was in an automotive magazine in the last 5 years. The guy was from TX and he had a "mild" and a "wild" engine built; both were for his LT1 powered Impala SS.

personally, i wouldnt build a 396 or a 409...sure youll get a few more cubes out of it, but what about the incresed side loading on the skirts, or longevity?
when i built my motor i set a 50,000+ mile goal...i want to get atleast 50 grand out of this motor..and i just dont think thats possible or plausible with a 396...id rather build a 383 and have it last 100,000 miles then go for 20 more cubes and have it last less then half as long...
