Only if you use all of the induction/exhaust/accessories from the Camaro.

If, of course, your Camaro has a V8. If it has a V8, then we need to know more about what you've got.

In fact, more details about your Camaro would be the only way to give you detailed advice.

Re: will this fit

It will fit but first you have to change your motor mounts, get a rad from a V8 camaro, a set of headers or manifold from a V8 camaro, u will need a new intake depending on if yours is fuel injected or carb, your trans probably won't bolt up to the 350 so you'll have to get a V8 bellhousing.

I did the same swap on a 82 camaro it was a 2.8L originally, I put a 350/turbo 350 trans out of a 74 chevy half ton pick-up. It was alot of work but worth it in the end. 2.8s suck I blew mine up on the first day.

The trans will not bolt up to a v8. Getting a v8 bellhousing is a bad idea also, as they are not of the same strength. you will need a v8 trans, and not the one from the truck its a different flavor. My ol 2.8 was a good engine, I ran it till it hit 155k then pulled it in favor of a hot 350.

The trans will bolt up, using a V8 bellhousing, and the right clutch disc, it will hold up for most normal driving, especially on street tires, i put plenty of miles hard driven on one with a 305 tpi that turned a 15.8 easy with no mods. The key is traction and how you drive it, and knowing its not the strongest thing ever.
