Lt-1 third gen e.t.?
I'm in the process of swapping a 94 lt-1 into my 88 350 tpi Iroc. I have slp 1 3/4 headers and will have a flowmaster cat back as well as a tpis fast pack. I will probably add a transgo shift kit to the 4l60e and a set of 373 gears out back. Is anyone running something simular in a thirdgen, and what are your et-s ?
Thanks Kory

Right here. When I first swapped the LT1 I had a very similar setup as you with the headers, full exhaust, home-made ram air, air foil, removed maf screens, afpr, and a modified PCM to change the rev limiter, speed limiter, etc. So mine was basically an LT1 with an exhaust. I never had the opportunity to take it to the track before I blew the engine so I can't offer any solid e.t.'s but I was anticipating a high 13. A lot of 4th gens turn low 14s stock so I didn't see headers being worth more than .2 - though if you add gears and a good convertor you could get it deeper into the 13s.
Since then I've gotten into another car, but now I'm back to working on the RS so I'm rebuilding the LT1 as a fairly serious 355. I'm planning to make ~450hp at the crank with the heads and cam I chose and along with other mods I don't think low 12s would be impossible to reach with some suspension tuning. Then after I go through the car and beef up the tranny and swap a 9" into the car I'll step up to the 12psi blower that I am designing the car around. Now I've never driven a car to anything faster than a 12.23 @ 117 (sorry guys, it was a mustang - but it wasn't mine I swear!) so I really can't say if it will or if it won't but my goal is to break the 10s when the car is finished on a 10" tire. It may be too much to ask but I can always stroke the engine, add a slight hit of juice, or up the boost to 15 if need be. No matter what I do, I'll have to pay attention to the suspension if I hope to put any power to the ground.

1991 RS LT1
every imaginable bolt-on, ungodly LT1 355, and 12 pounds of intercooled boost on it's way in '01
2000 C5 Coupe
black/black 6-spd, optional polished rims, first run 13.056 @ 109.52 stock
"So what DOES the back of a Mustang look like?"

Thanks for the info guys.
Brett what kind of cam and head work are you using? I am trying to figure out how much to modify this engine before I put it into the car, my L98 runs great so I don't have to be in a hurry. What do you think of the zz-9 and zz-409 cams from tpi specialties? also is your computer stock exept for the vats mod or did you get it programmed somewhere? If so how much was it?
Thanks for the info.
