Engine swap and emmissions legality.....

Ok, in the other post, i talked about getting rid of my current 93 Z and getting a 91/92 Z. Well, i've found one that I like. I was just wondering what types of engine swaps you guys have done that are emmissions legal? I was hoping to stay carb instead of fuel injection. is this possible? thanks for any info!!

Unless you're in an area that absolutely, positively does not open the hood for the emissions inspection, you'll never pass a '91/'92 that has a carb.

hrm, so if his car isn't inspected he could pass? Chris, i don't remember my car getting checked UTH (under the hood) at emissions down here in milwaukee over at the emissions place by sam's club. I'm wondering now if my car did, and i didn't notice? Did your car get checked out by you?

our cars DO NOT get looked at under the hood. mine never has been nor any of my previous camaros or mustangs. we only have to pass the roller test. BUT i don't want to all of a sudden have to pop the hood and be in DEEP STUFF!! Oh well, i still need to have a plan for what I'm going to do.
