Improvements

I need sum suggestions.. I always want to improve my car, without spending
alot of money. I was trying to think of some easy things to do to it that
will increase performance the most. Like something to increase air flow, and
sumthing like that. Also I wanted to make it sound a little better. I had
took the car for an alignment, and they put a new muffler on it without
letting us know first. I had a Flowmaster on it, and they put something
else; but it doesnt sound as good. So until it's time for a new muffler what
do you think i could do to it to make it sound a little "meaner"? I was
thinking aobut tips, something with maybe a 2.5" outlet. I dunno if that
would be to loud, or really kill the look of the car. Also, they might
scrape on the ground. Some places I cant go because my air dam always
scrapes. It just scares to hear that grind. Any ideas at all? Just anything that you think will improve my car. Making it sound better, drive faster, and have more get up. Thanks.

Ok first of all...you took your car in for alignment and the took your muffler??? Sounds like you got jacked for a flowmaster...I would go back there and demand your **** back and threaten to call the cops. Secondly you didnt say what you already have. Assuming your car is stock, i would go with an open element air cleaner, under a hundred bucks (if you order from summit and dont buy it at the store like i did - wallet raped for $110!!!) That will make it sounds a whole lot better over about 2500 rpm's and will improve seat of the pants performance. Another thing that might help is getting a a tbi, and injector spacer. Those are cheap and although i havent gotten one yet, i here they can help for a few horsies. Then make sure you car is tuned up good, and do the TBI free mods listed in the technical articles. I'm gonna be doing these to my TBI pretty soon and i here it can help for some extra ummpphh too.
