ZZ4 conversion kit

I plan on doing this swap in the next month or so and was wondering if anybody has any experience with this swap and what they have done? I plan on putting some SLP headers on instead of the maniflods it comes with, and then later porting and polishing the heads with bigger valves. Any comments would be appreciated, thanks.

What I would like to know is what kind of problems did anybody run into while doing the swap and what modifications they have done?

Couple of things. The stock ZZ4 valve covers do not have the grommets in the proper place for a TPI set up. If you have an engine oil cooler, the lines will not pass between the larger ZZ4 balancer and the oil pan like on the L98 350.
You will also need a new water pump for a serpentine set up. The passenger side head was missing one bolt hole for the serpentine bracket (1992 model with A/C on the pass side) However there are plenty other mounting points to keep things tight. Check your SLP headers for squareness on the flanges. My 4/6 flange is a little off.
