Transmission: 700r4
engine swap ideas?
i have a 1992 camaro rs with a 305 tbi and i want to swap engines but i cant decide what engine to swap to, i dont want and engine thatll cost me an arm and a leg, i want something that i can afford or afford if i save up for a little bit

You really have to state your goals with the motor and a budget. Also, how much work are you willing to put in.
Assuming you just want something with more torque/power than the 305 without getting too involved I'd suggest a 350 swap with headers and an 3" cat back exhaust system. If you want a little more, maybe swap in a new camshaft.
With more information, a better suggestion can be provided.

Find a 350 block or engine and then possibly a 383 crank (3.75 stroke). Then look for a good set of heads that flow in the 270CFM range and you will make power.
