BBC into an 87 IROC with T-Tops
Has anyone swapped in a carburated BBC into an IROC with T-Tops. Mine has subframe connectors and I'll get a stout strut tower brace.
My concern is a T-Top flying off the car (again) during a 1/4 mile pass down the strip. BBC I am looking at has 630 HP. Might be time for a roll cage!

6-point is in order here.
8-point would be even better.

Thought so.
Car runs 11s with NOS. I have been laying off it lately, so safely in the 12s for now.
Not against a 6 or 8 point, just wondering if it is worth all the effort to modify a T-Top car if those glass tops would still give me trouble after a BBC motor swap and 6 or 8 point cage addition...........?

yes it will cut down on flex tremendously, make your car legal to race, and make your car safer in the event something bad happens on the track.
If you are going that fast there is no good reason to not meet the safety requirements.

Never been drag racing, formally, but can't you run without the tops?
