Would this work?

I have a cat with a hose on it. Can the hoses from the smog pump connectors going into the manifolds be put on a "T" connector and then run to the hose on the cat? Do these hoses have to be pushing air before the O2 sensor for any reason?

Thanks,
Matt

What happened to the original line going to the cat? It is supposed to have its own air supply from the diverter valve.

Original cat doesn't have one. It's a 1980 LG4 (in a Corvette, stock no less). It has hoses going into pipes that go to each pipe of the exhaust manifolds. There's no connector on the original one but there is on my new one. Just wondering if I could route those hoses to it to get air to it.
