need help with oxygen sensor, new owner
Hey people, I just bought a 90' Camaro RS V6 for a steal of $600. Its in excellent damn good condition, previous owner told me it could not pass smog because it doesn't have the oxygen sensor installed due to the wire that connects from the car to the oxygen sensor is missing/torn out. He said he wasn't able to find the connection so wanted to get rid of it because he just purchased a new car. I was wondering if there is anything I could do for that, like solder a wire to the car from the oxygen sensor? Would I have to buy a whole new wire harness? If I can fix it myself could someone show pictures where the wire would be located?
The car is a beauty, needs minor cosmetics, interior is great and the engine runs like a champ. Just dont like the fact that my gas mileage is crap, like 9-11mpg at the moment.

Yes, you need that oxygen sensor. Take a look at this diagram http://www.autozone.com/images/cds/g...3d80163fe3.gif , the O2 sensor is in the lower right portion of the diagram. Find the wire, or run a new one from the connector, to the O2 sensor. You should be able to find the connector, assuming the counterperson at the parts store has a clue.
