Header Brand and Install?
i have a 91 5.7 350 that i really want to put headers on. i need to know what kind i should buy but im on a low budget maybe something under 300$. also i would like to know how hard it is to install them. i know the drivers side would not be tough and could probably be put in through the top but the passenger side is a different story. all that stuff there i dont know where to begin. so....do you think its worth it?

Re: Header Brand and Install?
I used the headman shorty headers, great for street use and they sell a Ypipe for it. all you need is to weld/clamp in a piece in place of the cat, or get a highflow cat if you have emissions. As far as install goes I think the pass side is easy, but I also dont have a/c or a heater box in right now. If you can time this with say an a/c retrofit that would be perfect. just take all the a/c stuff out including the box and the pass side will take you a half hour. leave it out for a week while you get all the a/c retrofit stuff and that will allow you to drive and retorque all the bolts before you put the a/c back in.
But no matter what you do DO NOT use the gaskets that come with the headers. get some nice aluminum ones and save yourself the trouble of having to do it all over again in a few months.
