i need some help with my exhaust. ill give the background first. a few months ago my car was running really rich and blue smoke was coming out of the exhaust. since i have gotten that fixed there is now a heavy smell of gas and if my friend is behind me he says he can smell it a few cars back. also there is a decrease in mileage. pretty significant actually. there is also a ton of soot that builds up after about a half tank of gas. when i say heavy i mean that if i get my tip spotless after that half tank its completely black and cant see the chrome tip on the bottom or sides.

Check and see if your throwing any codes. Just because the Service Engine Light does not come on does not mean a code is not being thrown.

there is the SES light when i turn the car on but not when it is running. the car is at the mechanic though because it wouldnt start. ill have him look into the codes and such and then check with you guys if he is doing the right stuff. im pretty sure this guy is confident with TPIs because when i dropped the car off i saw a c4 vette in one of the service bays.
