MagnaFlow vs Borla Exhaust on Third Gen TA

Anyone running a MagnaFlow or Borla Exhaust System on their Third Gen Firebird Trans Am or Camaro ?? Recently Installed a NOS Jet Hot Coated Manifolds and looking to replace the old Dynomax System on my 1985 Trans Am

Borla S-Type Cat-Back Exhaust Systems 14888
MagnaFlow Street Series Performance Exhaust Part # 16829

Want to keep the Stock Appearance, so would not use the Chrome Exhaust tips, so may not be worth it. If anyone know a good Exhaust Shop in New Jersey, would look into that option as well.

Thanks

Ive ran Borla before on my last T/A and it was the best sounding exhaust ive ever heard on a third-gen other than one with a true dual exhaust.

re: MagnaFlow vs Borla Exhaust on Third Gen TA

probably comes down to the tone you like, I've only messed with Borla on BMWs those sound real good and flow really nicely, I have the magnaflow muffler that is used in that kit waiting to go on my car (LS swapped so the exhaust routing isn't stock so I'm just going to used ebay/amazon no name stainless tubing and weld it up. Currently I have the stock 4th gen exhaust on the car modified to work for my needs (a lot of Frankenstein style weld stitches and pie cuts). Though I used v-band connectors for my joints on my current set up I like those much better than the slip fit/clamp/flange style connectors.

I don't think you would be un-happy with either choice.

I'm in NJ and have the Magnaflow cat-back on my GTA, plus I sold dozens to local and TGO 3rd gens over the years.

If you can get the old system off, you can install the new one with hand tools - I did it in 2 hours on my back and it looks and sounds great.
