I got a 92 TPI and just installed Flowtech Headers 16102FLT (no smog tubes) and I have 2 questions. I searched both but came up dry.
Q1: There is no room to install a studded bolt for the A/C & Alt Bracket. Are the supports really necessary and if so what have you guys done to remedy.
Q2: #5 Plug is impossible to get a socket on. I don't even think there is clearance for a shallow socket not that it would work. Is there a specialty socket out there or do I just have to fight it with the good ol wrench?

There are special spark plug sockets made for use on headers. They are short spark plug sockets. Check Summit. When I pull plugs on my TPI swapped 87 Monte Carlo SS, I have to use open end wrenches and sockets. Some of the plugs I have to get from under the car. Others, I have to remove the front wheels and access the plug from a hole I cut into the plastic wheel well. The hole cut into the plastic wheel well applies to plugs #8 and #7.
