Car: 1987 IROC-Z
Engine: 5.7L
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.42
LT1 fuel tank swap to third gen
I have a 1987 iroc-z, 350. I have three questions;
#1 Is the Lt1 gas tank metal?
#2 is it a direct swap for our vehicles?
#3 does it have the fuel pump baffle?
I've searched a few posts on here for a definitive answer but have been unable to locate it. Thanks in advance.

Yes the LT1 gas tanks are metal. The plastic tanks didn't show up until the LS1 years. As for your other questions, I cannot answer. The LT1 tank should fit no issues but more than likely it'll require modifications to the fuel lines

The filler neck should be longer, and may stick out the side of the car, and since it is metal, you can't just trim a piece of hose the proper length.
Look for a 91-92 tank if you want the baffles
