History: I am the second owner of this vehicle. I purchased it in April of 2001 with 22,000 miles on it in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Car is originally from Illinois. This car has been a blast to own, as it is extremely fast yet great looking. I have done quite a bit of work to it over the last 6 years, updating certain items and making it road worthy as well as safe. The car rides very well, with the subframe connectors that were installed, it makes the chassis very tight and rattle free. The heating & A/c system was completely removed to save weight. The dash is all digital which looks great at night. To make it safer I added racing harnesses, driveshaft loop, fire extinguisher, fuel cut off switch & other minor additions. For security it has a removable steering wheel, removable stereo faceplate, locking T-Tops, keyed lugnuts & chip in the ignition key.
It has power windows, power steering, power mirrors, power hatch. Hood & hatch shocks are working well.
I have taken it to the drag strip about 3 times while I have owned it using the street slicks. Best time was 12.39 @ 114mph. Could probably do a little better with higher friction tires.
Items to note: The rear fiberglass spoiler has cracked and peeled, as did most of the spoilers during those years. The previous owner was in a fender bender accident. He replaced the front bumper and right front quarter panel. I do not have any of the original parts, wheels, etc.. See the list below for everything that has been done. Front two tires will need to be replaced soon. The right front fender came in contact with some kind of chemical that left spots, it is hard to notice. The T-Tops do leak, so the weather stripping will need to be replaced. The cruise control & windshield washer systems were removed. The hood and right headlamp could be realigned better. A few touch ups and this would make a nice show car.
A nice indoor car cover is included. I have all of the receipts for most everything and also have collected all of the sales literature for that year of Firebird.
I am asking $15,500 or best offer. Cash is best, but will accept certified check or please allow 5-7 days for personal checks to process. Car will be listed on Ebay in the near future.
I can pick you up at the airport or deliver this vehicle to a shipping station.
