1992 Jamaica Yellow TA for sale, Chicago
Gents,
The time has come to sell my 1992 Jamaica Yellow TA. It is a true Jamaica Yellow car in original paint. The car has 159,xxx miles on it but from seeing it, you would not believe it.
For those of you who know me, I haven't been on the board much in a few years and the car has been sitting in the garage. For those who don't, I used to own the Green 91 GTA that took 1st place at the Trans Am Nationals in stock class in 2009. This particular TA is of the same quality of car as my GTA and my Red 92 TA were. (both are now sold to other collectors)
The car is a 2 owner original JY car. Spent it's whole life in southern CA. Black cloth interior, L98. Gold PW7 wheels with Goodyear GS-C tires that have less than 1k miles on them.
Mechanically the car is in excellent shape, all the leaks that it had when I bought it I fixed and I have almost 100 man hours into restoring the paint. Those who have seen my GTA know how meticulous I am. The car drives every bit as good and tight as my 49K miles 92 TA did, no one would believe that the odometer shows 149K. I drove the car home to Chicago from Los Angeles, 2100 miles with no issues at all, and that was before I did any work to it.
The paint is original so there are some chips, but they are minor and only on the front end. The paint is about an 8 out of 10 and that's only because of the chips. The interior is a 9 out of 10.
The only bad part is that the heater core was leaking and was bypassed by the previous owner. I have not fixed it as it does not bother me, it is a Summer car if I even drive it at all.
I don't want to make this a long post so I'll leave it at this, for those of you who know the rarity of a Jamaica Yellow 92 TA and can appreciate it please email me directly at MarkRPMTA@comcast.net I won't be able to check the board regularly so please if you are interested just email me directly. I am asking $8000 obo based solely on the fact that it is a Jamaica Yellow car. I am located in the near west suburbs of Chicago. The price is reasonable but negotiable at the same time. I'd like the car to go to a good home where someone can appreciate the rarity.
Any questions please email me direct, MarkRPMTA@comcast.net
Sorry no direct pics posted since all my pics are way to large to upload to the site, it's in the sig pic and I can email pics on request. Sorry.
Thanks

If I had a garage to put it in I'd bring cash to your front door tomorrow. Hopefully it finds a GOOD home. Good luck with the sale! =(

Re: 1992 Jamaica Yellow TA for sale, Chicago
I know it's been a few months since someone blew the dust off of this post but, I am very interested. It's been too long since I've been able to afford another F Body. I'm torn between a higher mileage LS1 car, or a clean and well respected Third Gen. In my previous life, I owned an '87 Yellow Gold Formula, but was forced to off that car too early. So now I'm looking to redeem that lost dream. Let me know if it's still for sale so we can get this ball rolling for the warmer months ahead.
