Should I part it or sell it? - 87 Firebird Formul

Hi all,

I just bought a 87 Firebird Formula T-top from someone for 600$. I'm curious what I should do with it. I primarily bought the car just for the hood for my primary firebird since I needed a formula bulge hood for it. My old hood still exists but it's covered in bondo and cracks every time I paint it.

Anyhow, here is everything I know about the 87 I bought:

- It runs and doesn't overheat (Made a 3.5 hour drive from Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo area in California today)
-V8 305 carbuerated engine
-1 missing T-Top panel (Flew off on the way home)
-Missing the rear spoiler
-Has the formula bulge hood
-Has about ~$500 in back pay registration fees
-Not salvaged
-All lights work
-Body is decent but could use a paint job as paint is very dull
-Has the "16x8" aluminum high tech deep dish turbo "feather" design wheels" (This is what I found they call them via a google search)
-I currently only have the bill of sale
-Color is car is red
-Has 250,000 miles
-Tires are pretty used up
-Has the front bumper with the light inserts on each side
-Interior is OK.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow since it's dark now and cold out (for us Californian's today)

These are some thoughts I've come up with:
1) Register it, keep it, and fix it for myself
2) Try to sell it as is
3) Part it out
4) Register it, do some necessary/minor fixes, (maybe even a macco paint job) and sell it.

I don't think I have anything too special here but I thought I'd ask on here and get some opinions.

Thank you!

If you part it out I'd like to see the center consol condition.

So I posted the car on craigslist:

If anyone is interested let me know

http://santamaria.craigslist.org/cto/5905665301.html

Priced high at first and will lower if I don't get any offers soon.
In the end, I'll be fine getting 500$ for it. I figure 100$ plus the trip to LA is a good deal for rare and in decent shape hood.

Thanks!

It seems based on the video my sister sent me that it's not in too great of shape but can't say for sure yet. I'll ask for better interior video/pictures.

Car is in my home town near San Luis Obsipo and I work in the bay area during the week so I travel down there here n there. It's a 3 hour drive.
