There was another 152 GTA or Trans Am convertibles with the 350 produced making the Formula 350 much more rare and unusual. The 83-85 Buick Riviera, 84-85 Cadillac Eldorado, The Sunbird, and Cavalier were ASC conversions, as well as other cars like the Buick Reatta were all ASC. ASC converted cars for dealerships, this car was converted prior to the dealer taking delivery. This is an ORIGINAL PAINT car. I am buying another car. In all honesty I don't want to see it go, but I do not drive it and enjoy it as much as I should. So I figured it was time to maybe give some people a chance to own something truly special.

Dude...I say this jokingly...but what are u smoking? Man...why....why would u get rid of this car? I think the minute it leaves u, ur going to regret it. Maybe I'm weird and get this goofy unhealthy emotional attachment to my 04 ford explorer and iroc-z...i just don't know how u could let it go. I'm not encouraging u to sell it I'm encouraging u to keep it! If i had the money Is buy it tho...how did u even get it...whats the story on how u got it and did u even know it's rarity at the time u bought it?

Re: 1 of 43 1989 Formula 350 CONVERTIBLE - WS6
I am sure I will cry when it goes... I don't want to sell it, but again I do not drive it much to enjoy it, but when I do drive it, I love it.
The story is the original owner (from what I can tell) had it in FL for most of its life, he moved to NY where it was re-titled, then back to FL where it received it's 3rd title. Sam purchased it from him around 2004, when it only had 25,000 miles on it. Sam enjoyed the car, he put 9-10K on the car in 2 years, and then I picked it up in 2006. I have driven it a little every year, but for the most part it lives in my barn. It looks great in the pictures, but the paint really needs some help, the sides are fine, the FL sun just beat the crap out of the top of the car. It is original paint, except for the drivers rear quarter panel, but when I got inside and took a look I did not see anything that indicates any damage, so I am not sure why it was repainted, may have been a simple scratch. But otherwise the car has original paint.
It was originally shipped to Sheenhan Pontiac in Light House Point, FL. ASC shipped the car on 6-27-1989. By order of VIN, this is car number 40 of the known 43.

Re: 1 of 43 1989 Formula 350 CONVERTIBLE - WS6
I sold my 91 5 speed a few years ago and justified it for the same reason. I wasn't driving it enough and at the time could really use the money. If I had the $$$ and the room I'd love it as I've always preferred the look of the 87-90. To have it in a convertible would be awesome.
Good Luck on the sale... although a part of me hopes it doesn't sell only because you may regret it down the road.

I am buying another car, I am selling 3 cars right now, This car, an 87 Formula LB9/MM5 Hard top and if anyone is interested in an 06 Buick Rendezvous ... In all honesty I don't want to see it go, but I do not drive it and enjoy it as much as I should. So I figured it was time to maybe give some people a chance to own something truly special.

Re: 1 of 43 1989 Formula 350 CONVERTIBLE - WS6
I am on FB,
Daniel I have decided not to sell at this point... I am in the process of converting a part of my barn to be a restoration shop, so hopefully within the next year or so I will be tearing it down to really make it into a show worthy car. My last car turned out really nice, but this car I want to be a concourse level car (meaning it will be greatly over restored)... We will see... Even though interestingly I have 3 other cars that I can show and only been to one car show this summer. I often question my brain and why in the world would I want to do such a crazy and insane thing to restore a car? Invest hours of tedious work to make a car perfect, when it runs, drives and actually does not look too bad for an original paint 1989....
But here I am, I apparently think I am rich (I am not) and I have a lot of time to just spend (again, not really) on bringing it back to new or better than new condition. Hopefully I stay married, (she is a really good woman, so she understands) and I keep my sanity...
I like the car, it is a blast to drive, I have the space, and I really do not need money right now, I cannot just buy another, so unlike a Camaro Convertible or some other car that is readably available, I will just keep my 1 of 43 unicorn... So I should have closed this thread a long time ago, but I would not have had the opportunity to really delve deeply into my psyche and realize that I have a touch of insanity...
If someone offered me a reasonable price to where I could buy a nice Buick T-type or GN... We would then talk, but until then... I will be holding onto it and just enjoying it... The cool thing is my wife has a Mustang Convertible, so if I need some Top down get out of the house type of experience I still can...

It does not look bad, not sure if I will put it back on or not. I suspect it was installed at the dealer, but not entirely sure... It is well done...
Thanks

Okfoz, I just saw this - thats an awesome car! as a previous owner of a 2000 WS6 Formula -last year they were available with WS6 one of 231 produced, I feel your pain about hang on, let go ? what to do... I was second owner with just under 60K on it in Navy blue metallic one of 32. I let it go, to me was a way to a supercar one of 1,850 2015 ZL1s produced and last year of gen5
hardly a comparison between the two cars but I still have the memories. To me the selling of a car is to start new memories with something new - can't keep em all

Sure you can keep them all... Just need a bigger barn! I have already started to stack them.... Interestingly I am inheriting my dads first car! It has been in the family for 90 years!!! this car collecting stuff runs in my blood...

No offense but why hop on a site then ask someone to get on another (fb) and msg there?
Good luck, it can be hard to let go of stuff sometimes.
