1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350 for sale, $2,500
Hello all, I am posting here in order to sell my 1990 pontiac firebird formula. I have owned this car for about 10 years. I am asking $2,500 for it. I am located Long Island, New York. Here are the details about the car:
This car is a 1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula with 101,000 miles on it, and it has a 5.7Liter/350 engine in it linked up to a 4 speed automatic transmission. The car drives and operates decently for it’s age.
The modifications of the car are as follows:
Flow master muffler/exhaust (came installed when I bought the car)
Short length exhaust headers
Polyurethane motor mounts
A/C delete system
Wiper fluid reservoir removed
Rocker arms
MSD ignition distributor cap and cables
Replaced all fuel injectors due to original ones shorting out
Installed new gas tank, due to original one leaking fumes
Hotchkis stabilizer bars(I think thats what they are called) installed under car for rigid chassis
Strut tower stabilizer bar
I had a shift kit installed in the transmission by a transmission shop
Thats all that I can remember of the things that I have done. Now onto the imperfections of the car
The cars paint is in pretty rough shape, as someone I used to know started to do body work on it for me, but we had a falling out, so now it is a black primer color
The rear spoiler is all cracked, and I have left it removed for now
The front dash has a crack in it, probably due to heat expansion
The radio works, but it is not easy to adjust; every time the controls are touched, it seems to not respond
The right front headlight sometimes flips up, but sometimes it does not
Putting gas in the car takes a while, you have to pump it very slowly, or else the pump will stop, and if you force it it will spill gas back out of the filler neck
The hood struts have stopped working, although I made a piece of wood to temporarily solve this issue
As far as drivability of the car, it drives pretty decent. The car passed inspection and is safe to drive. Some things to consider about this car
The tires aren't bad, but the car has been sitting for a while, so they have some minor dry rotting issues
There is a slight hissing sound when depressing the brake pedal, however the car brakes without any issues
Thats about all that I can think of right now. If there is anything else, I will go back and add it. I will try to post some photos of the car, and I can additionally send photos to anyone if they like. Please reach out if you are interested, as I would like to sell this car within the next few months. Thank you for reading!
