1991 Trans Am Convertible - $5,900
For sale is my 1991 Trans Am Convertible. Asking price is $5,900.
I posted it for sale here back in 2013, but we ended up bringing the car out to Virginia with us. Then we moved back to Michigan and we ended up being able to keep the car! Now we're downsizing to a small cottage and a boat, which unfortunately means the car must go.
It's a factory convertible with 112103 miles on it. Overall the car is in great shape but there are a few deficiencies.
The original driver seat is pretty worn, and when we moved to Virginia I installed a 4th gen driver seat with hopes that I could get the original seat reupholstered. The reupholstering never happened, but I still have the seat.
The rear seat back has a tear along the stitching. It is certainly repairable but I have a replacement as well.
Some of the interior plastic pieces on the convertible top are cracked. I know there are reproductions available but I do not have any.
The steering wheel airbag cover is split. I have an original replacement in great shape that I'll install next week.
Mechanically the car is in great shape and it runs and drives really well. That being said the AC does not work and the smog pump has been removed. The factory cold air intake duct is sitting on the shelf with a small crack, so there is an aftermarket cold air system on the car at the moment.
I really enjoy this car and it will be sad to see it finally leave the family. If you have any questions I will be glad to answer them.
Thank you!

JG1 aluminum driveshaft
Was car hit, hence airbag cover split (open)?

No, it's just cracked from age and sun (with the top down!). It's not split all the way across, but not repairable hence the replacement from a donor car. Fairly common problem and you'll find plenty of threads about here on thirdgen.org

Aluminum Driveshaft, but not a 4 wheel disc car and a non performance rear gear. Odd combo. Nice car.

Re: 1991 Trans Am Convertible
The car is Clio, MI, just north of Flint. Typically I'm available to show the car anytime, but this weekend I am tied up all day Saturday and Sunday with fire department related training. Please feel free to give me a call on my cell at 810-701-3416 if you want to set something up.
Thank you!
