[SOLD] 1984 Trans Am - Restored/Modified
After owning and building my 1984 Trans Am for 17 years, I've decided it's time to sell it. I've decided to buy a 6th gen Camaro and there isn't enough money in the budget for both. Here is a rundown of what I can remember about all the features/parts the car has:
Exterior: Bright Platinum Metallic show quality paint job. It's like a mirror finish with no orange peel. The Firebird emblem on the hood and "TRANS AM" lettering over the fender vents are painted on (not vinyl), shaved door locks and antenna, 4th gen smooth faced door handles, Wings West wrap around spoiler based off of the "Firebird 500" spoiler, Year One snowflake style wheels (17"x9") with 245/45r17 front and 275/40r17 rear BF Goodrich G-Force T/A Tires, windows and rear hatch have 35% light transmitted tint), all new weather seals (t-tops, doors, hatch, everything has been replaced with new rubber), new greaseable hinges on the doors.
Drivetrain: LT1 and T56 from a 1995 Camaro Z28, SLP ceramic coated shorty headers and y-pipe, Magnaflow cat-back with dual tailpipes, Line Lock for front brakes for to do big burn outs, aluminum driveshaft and 10-bolt posi rear with 4:10 gears.
Interior: 1991 Firebird dash and center console with custom machined aluminum trim rings around the guages and shifter, 2000 Trans Am ebony leather seats front and rear, new charcoal carpet and floor mats, 4th gen charcoal seatbelts, recovered charcoal headliner with dome light shaved, deluxe (GTA style) door panels, power windows and locks, JVC head deck and Infinity speakers front and rear.
Other modifications: Subframe connectors and LCA brackets welded in, front subframe is seam welded for additional rigidity, Inner fenders are smoothed (mounting points for coolant and washer fluid bottles removed to create perfectly smooth show quality engine compartment), non-ac heater box installed, battery relocated to the hatch area, rear shoulder belts added. Eibach pro-kit 1" lowering springs, adjustable panhard bar, custom fabricated transmission crossmember with room for true dual exhaust in the future
Asking $13,500. Car located in the Buffalo, NY area. My email is jdmurray19@yahoo.com

I actually like this car, which is amazing considering how much I generally don't like 1982-84s, or third gens with 2nd gen style wheels. GLWS!

Re: 1984 Trans Am - Restored/Modified
Thanks everyone. It wasn't an easy decision, but I've been thinking it over for the past couple of years and I'm comfortable with it now. I put a lot into building it, but after 17 years I'm ready to move on to something different. Mikeceli, sorry I don't have any pictures of the SFCs and I can't really get a good view under it without lifting it up. I believe they were made by Spohn. I put them in somewhere around 2005.
