Rare Iroc? Rare GTA?

Rare Iroc? Rare GTA?
OK 2 Questions...
I have a 89 Iroc L98. NO g92 option. It's Red with the gold/tan color wheels/stripes/interior. I've seen plenty of early Irocs with this combo, but never any that were 88-90. I'm sure they are not so rare that they'd be worth anything extra, but I'd love to knnow some production numbers or something...Any one else have this combo?
2) My buddy says he found a 86 GTA L98. I know that theres not many 86 Iroc L98's....were there any GTA's or TA's for that matter? If so, are they worth anything? The car has 60,000 miles and it seems like the owner just wants to be rid of it. Is it possible that it does have a factory L98?

Oh yeah, real quick, I don't have any RPO's and I don't care about exact numbers...I'm more interested in weather or not you all have seen the red/gold color combo around much. I would love to at least know someone who has this combo, since most of you don't seem to like it...

I would say no, but have the 8th digit of the VIN and RPO's checked anyway.

There has been debate whether there ever was an 86 L98 put in third gens. So far I haven't seen any difinitive proof of them. Also, if the GTA does have an L98 recheck the year. There weren't any GTA's until 87. Y84 in the rpo's.

Mark,
1983 was a transition year between the C3 and the C4. Due to problems, there were a few preproduction 83 Corvettes. All but one were scrapped, the sole survivor resides at the Corvette Museum.
As a result of having no Vettes to test the new drivetrain, Chevy supposedly outfitted 10 Caprice wagons with the Vette drivetrain, and 16 inch wheels.
Speaking of which, I have a short article on the Corvette wagon (although modified from its original form.
