Camaro Anti theft system?

Transmission: 700r4

Camaro Anti theft system?
Im not quite sure where to put this but its just a question that i have about our cars. Ive never heard of anyone else talking about this on their car or ever actually seen another thirdgen with it but my car has some sort of anti theft system in it. Its a 91 camaro and to start the car you need to pull out the headlight **** so the lights come on, after that you can turn them off but if you dont have them on when you go to start the car the horn beeps everytime you turn the key. I decoded my RPO,s and didnt find anything that would relate to it so im wondering if our cars came with this stock as i have never heard nor seen another car with it yet?

Its actually a neat idea, who would think... pull the light switch so the car would start.

I agree. It's not a factory option, but seems like a stealthy way to hide a kill switch. I like it too. Simpler than trying to hide a seperate kill switch somewhere.
Curious, did the previous owner tell you about this or did you bang you head on the wheel until the discovery?

The previous owner did in fact tell me about it. Took me a couple seconds to figure it out right. Its funny getting calls from every mechanic that the car goes to asking how to start my car. Im the 3rd owner of the car so ill call up my friend and ask him if he put it on there, his grandma was the original owner so i doubt she put it on there but hey who knows.
