All original? I wonder how many miles were on the original 85MPH speedo. Red & black, yes, but the only yellow one I've heard of was a special order for Reggie Jackson's collection, and that is undocumented rumor.

Where would he have got the information on the number of T-Tops made in the add? I sent him a message and asked whether it had 1C5 and he said it did. He also said his license plate was 1C5IROC. Somebody has also added tuned port injection on the driver rear bumper which I know mine and yours doesn't have. I also asked about Z5V,and B9k since his add said he had the build sheet. He hasn't responded to those two rpos yet.

Is he a member of this board? When a car is in the family that long, it's hard to remember little changes done years ago. The TPI logo on the rear bumper was added, beside the speedo change. Insignificant, but not original. It still appears to be very nice, and much more original than mine.

I know that the seller mentions that they came with black interior, but I don't know if he means all of them. I have seen red & black with saddle interior. Very nice looking & with gold wheels & moulding. Not too many, but original.

Your right, I've seen only one other red with the saddle interior, gold wheels and it looked very good with that combination. Never have seen a black with the saddle interior, gold wheels yet. Hopefully, one has survived after 25 years!

mr396 I know you have many back issues of various magazines. Do you think you might have Camaro Corral (March-April 1992) I have heard that there is something about the California Irocs in it but haven't been able to find a copy. Also Camaro TransAm (winter 1985 vol.2,No 1 page 42 and 43 article titled "Other Irocs"....the late L69 and one more reason to hate California by L. Sharke. These are the only ones I've heard of and still can't find. If anyone has them could you post pictures?

Re: 1985 california Special IROC on e-bay
Another book that I've heard about that has something on the 1C5 Iroc is Michael Lamm's, Camaro The Third Generation 1986 printing, not in the original 1981 printing which I already have. I actually googled the authors name and it gave me a phone number to call. I did and to my surprise Michael Lamm's wife answered and let me speak to him. He was a very nice person and told me he stilled had copies of the first printing, but not the 1986 printing which had the 1985 1C5 Irocz in it. Have you seen what a copy of that 1986 Camaro the Third Generation is selling for? I think it was $150 and I could only find one for sale on Amazon. I'm looking for a cheaper copy. The "Great Camaro" is also an excellent book by Michael Lamm, but has nothing on the 1C5 Irocz in it.

For $150, I think I'd like to see the printed content on the 1C5 before commiting to a purchase the '86 printing.
That's a nice clear picture of the build sheet on the ebay car.

Since the pictures aren't showing in the other thread posted, here is another thread that has information and pictures about the 1C5 IROC-Zs.
