No, no boxes full, no stockpiles of every product. If we did, we wouldn't have room to get in the building and do our work. It's manufactured elsewhere and sent directly to warehouses, stores, etc.. Not as much product comes in as you might think. A few samples come in for evaluation, and they typically give the designers one production sample when done as a courtesy, but that's about it.
Besides, it would get very costly if every person involved got a free sample, as there are a lot of employees and a lot of product developed. We'd probably go out of business if we did

Re: Finally IROC Hot Wheels 2012 -Red
Even though I felt like I won the lottery I didn't realize how lucky I was when I found 6 Irocs at the first store I checked (Toys r Us). I've checked in multiple stores multiple times since and have only found one more Iroc at the same store. My Third gen luck has been very good to me recently. My son came home one day in 2009 and said that he new someone who had a red camaro they wanted to get rid of. It was part of an estate that needed settled. $1200 dollars later I was the proud lucky owner of a 79,000 mile one owner all original 1990 5.7 g92 Iroc. I was not a Third gen enthusiast at the time and new nothing about them. I had pondered the thought of using one as a replacement body for my Nova as a street/strip car and figured for 1200 I could not go wrong. Knowing more now I plan to keep it original. Forza 3 was another lucky moment. In the early 90's I owned an iron duke camaro very unlucky times. My ten speed felt like it made more power. Very embarrassing to own a car that you can run faster than. I should have killed myself and I'm glad I didn't. Never wanted a Chevy product after that. Times change and luck changes. Good luck to everyone trying to find the Hot Wheels sometimes you need it.

KITT is officially in South Texas, found 7 of them at a San Antonio Wal-Mart today. Grabbed 4 to share between myself and friends, left the rest for others. Have found 4 red IROC's so far, now just to look for the black version.

Re: Finally IROC Hot Wheels 2012 -Red
It is clear that there are more than a few Hot Wheels collectors on this site. Without getting off of the original purpose of this post, I wonder if anyone would be interested in a thread that would provide sort of a "trading post" for swapping cars that we may have extras of for some we don't. For example, I try, but don't always succeed at getting a full set of Treasure Hunts every year. Usually, I end up with over 12 TH's, but I may be doubles or triples in some of the cars and none in others. I'm sure others have the same problem.
I probably left 8 KITTs in a bin last week at Wal Mart because I didn't need them, but still have not seen an IROC. If this "trading post" was available, in the future I would probably pick up a few more for others who could not find them.
Would there any interest in doing this?
Moderators, is there even a section on TGO that is considered appropriate for it?
Jason

Still have not found the red IROC. Looked in 7 stores yesterday. I did find this one, though. A little different. The car says simply "'80s PONTIAC FIREBIRD", with no specific year. I could do without the the hood graphics, but the car does have t-tops.

Re: Finally IROC Hot Wheels 2012 -Red
Jason, I would love for the moderators or JT to add a "collectible trading" section to the classifieds board, that way people can start their own thread on what they have to offer and what they want,
I fear that if we were only given one thread as a "trading post" it would get extremely crowded and confusing
There is a miscellaneous thirdgen classified section i believe so maybe post it in that section is what we will be told?

Re: Finally IROC Hot Wheels 2012 -Red
There might be more third gen Camaros then we know about. I just found a Johnny Lightning Green Monopoly one yesterday at a garage sale, still in blister for a whole $3.00. I would buy ALL that I could for that price.

Re: Finally IROC Hot Wheels 2012 -Red
Dave,
Yeah, I know I should have gotten them all, but about the time I saw the first two KITTS, I found a Treasure Hunt and bring a brand new bin, I knew there would be others so I went into TH search mode. By the time I found all the Hunts, I didn't think about grabbing more KITTS because by then I was late getting to the office! Hindsight is always 20/20.
I did go back the next day and all the KITTS were gone, but I did find a Maverick Grabber secret Treasure Hunt with Real Ryder tires I missed the day before.

Ill be looking for the black iroc now for sure! gotta get one to match my car
Also i went to a local wal-mart the other day and found a kitt. However, on the car it has a piece of metal which prevents the passenger side rear wheel from spinning on its own. its a defect. Rare find? Its kinda hard to see in the pics. Its in the front of the wheel.
