There is one here locally. Don't know if it is a 92 but it is definitely that color and also has the 5.7 and T-tops. I could try and get pics. A young kid owns it but he seems to take care of it. I know he gives me a wave whenever I pass him in my TA.

The one you see with the 5.7 must have aftermarket Ttops, because the the factory didn't produce 5.7 cars with TTops in '92. If you see the car and the tops look factory, it's a 5.0. Just an FYI.

I will definitely have to take a closer look sometime. I parked next to it once and the couple things I did notice was the rear shoulder belts and it had the airbag steering wheel so it is at least a 90. I don't remember looking at the T-tops to know if they are factory or not. And I'm only saying it was a 5.7 from what the father said once but he doesn't really know much. He may have been just trying to "one up" me as I was in the middle of assembling my Vortec/T56 combo at the time.

I'd definitely suggest you take a photo of it front and back @lilski. If its a True '91 or '92 then its much easier to swap 5.0 to 5.7 then to cut the roof open for t-tops.

Mine will aways be Original, I'm somewhat of an originality Freak, not a lot of '92 25th Anniversary Dark Teal Metallic Z28s Fully Loaded with all available power options, with the 5.7 TPI, and especially less now that are still original because I believe the low number of that combo that was produced has reduced in 20 years, if they made 25 for example: I believe at least 1 has been totaled, I believe that at least 20 of them have been modified in some way, such as an aftermarket hood or wheels or different exhaust or different seats or different steering wheel and aftermarket gauges cutting holes into the dash to wire a new Tachometer, or they modify the original drivetrain, Change out the 700r4 swap it to a t56, and especially the engine, stroke it to a 383 or take out the original L98 and swap an LT1 or LS1 and toss the original away, and I believe there's nothing like seeing an All Original '92 Z28 5.7 rumble thru the streets every once in a while, because thats how I saw it when I was a kid, and I think of the next little kid that's going to get to see mine rumble thru the neighborhood and that kid will be Mesmerized and say that's gonna be my car one day. and that's how you keep the thirdgen living, passing this addiction on to the new generation, as well as our children is how these few remaining examples will Live on

I'm not sure if they are rare but definitely not common. I like that combination and would like to pick one up someday. I see them for sale occasionally. Dark teal metallic was the most prevalent color in 1992, 14,779 out 77,000 Camaros. Most of those cars are RS version with 5.0 Z28 combos. I think that for 91 & 92 your most likely to see a 5.7 Z28 in the more standard colors such as white, black, red, blue. The teal Z sure is a a beautiful car though!
I know of two 91-92 Z's in my small home town. One Hawaiian orchard and the other brilliant red. I keep hoping to see one for sale and that it would be a 92 with 5.7

This is the color we are talking about right?
This car is a 1992 Z28 with the L98. I got this pick a long time ago when I was looking at buying a 1992 Z28. This is my favorite color for the 1991-1992 Z28's.

I've got that same model car execept its a 1992 Z28 in Polo Green Metallic - looks dark forrest green.
I really like the dark teal metallic color on these late thirdgen Z28's. Some day I'd like to have a teal 1992 Z28 parked next to my dark red metallic IROC in the garage.
Ha ha then I would have two of my favorite thirdgens in the factory colors that I like the most.

Hell, yeah, I plan on owning a third gen of every year but my immediate thirdgen garage for the next 2 to 3 years will consist of my '92 Z28 which I will Keep forever seen in the top pic.
Then I plan to reacquire my '87 Dark Red Metallic Iroc 5.0 carb which I mistakenly regretfully sold a few years ago
Then also Reacquire my Aunts old 1986 Red Iroc as a gift to the family in her memory.
and a 1986 bright Red Trans Am that a friend wants to sell but will keep it until I have his asking price..

Re: Not buying, but anyone have a bone stock Dark Teal Metallic 1992 Camaro Z28 5.7?
In the years before I got my thidgen, I always hated that dark teal color, not because itw as ugly, but because it seemed like 99 percent of thirdgens in that color were base model 91-92 RS'es that had the 15 inch wheels and they always had body damage or rust on them somewhere. It was ALWAYS junker base model cars that seemed to be in that color. And it's such a "90's" color too. Just part of that era when the awesome maroons, blues, yellows, metallic reds and oranges were going to the wayside, and everyone starting driving cars painted in earth tones.

thanks. i'm looking a low mileage 92 that someone painted white stripes over the hood, nose and wing/hatch. I will have to calculate that into my offer now.. Why keep a car low mileage if you're going to customize it lol. I would rather buy this car with 50k miles on it so i didn't feel bad about having to paint it!

Oof, not a z28 no. But it’s a 92 RS 305 with T tops. It’s teal but the guy before me put the z28 hood on it so mines not really stock, everything’s oem though there are no aftermarket parts except for the replacement exhaust, it’s suposed to be just like the oem system but it’s a knock off and it’s a bit cheaper than GMs replacement. And even though the hood is from a z28 it’s still a stock hood it’s just not for my model.
its also the 25 year Heritage edition
