"1978" Thirdgen belt buckle
Not sure if this goes here but ...found an ebay belt buckle
which was made in 1978, there are two options
1 - A Fake (which i think it is)
2 - A prototype thirdgen as far as 1978 ??? Not sure but you never know!
3 - A time machine !
Weird !
Mods please move this post if it's on the wrong section, thanks !

Re: "1978" Thirdgen belt buckle
there were prototype 3rd gens running around in late '78-looked pretty close to what came out in '82,but had '80 z28 style wheels, hood NACA duct further apart and a few other differences The "1978"on the buckle is probably the date of buckle design and it was made later,in production thirdgen era.

1978 is just the year of the Copyright of the compay logo design "PainTree".
Prior to 1978 they just used a sticker on their buckles.
Nothing to do with the year of manufacturing of the buckle.
