history of my 82 t/a
Hello all
I am new here and just purchased a 82 t/a in complete original condition , I was wondering if there is someone on here that knows how to look up my vin and tell me a little about this car (where is was sold new ? , which states did it live in ? stuff like that) For being 32 years old this car is in awesome condition.

CarFax or AutoCheck are about your best bet for looking up the cars history and either of those can be hit and miss. If the car is in the condition you say, it's possible you can find the build sheet stashed somewhere. That would tell you the options it was built with and what dealer the car was originally sold to

they send you a copy of the dealer invoice that they have records of on microfilm.

Reading your VIN sequence # its a Van Nuys built car with the base V8 LG4.
563485 I believe is a Late July/Early August built car.Go open your hood and on your radiator support on the driver side,There should be a stamped plate size of a credit card with a bunch of weird numbers and letters,Post those codes on here and we can tell some options of what you have.
And you MIGHT be lucky and pull out the driver side seat and your build sheet could be tucked under all the wire mesh and fabric cover between the seat tracks
