My new 1991 trans am

I bought a 1991 Trans Am last week at a yard sell for $500. Its ultra blue metallic with medium beechwood with a 350 tpi. The guy bought it new in California and there is no rust on it anywhere theres not even a dent any where on it. He told me that the fuel pump went out six years ago so it was just parked in his drive way so it was covered in mold and the tires are dry rotted. So i have to replace the fuel pump tires and breaks and clean the inside but i couldnt pass up on the price. Im not never to third gens i have a 1985 camaro z28 as my first call and loved til i totaled it and been looking for a nice one for a while heres some pics.

Wow, nice buy. I paid $100 less for mine, but yours looks a LOT nicer than mine was when I bought it!

Stupid rare color too, I've only seen one other blue 91-92 T/A that I can remember, and that's been 15+ years ago.

Run your VIN through compnine.com, it will at least tell you how many cars were built in that color. May or may not break it down for number built with your exact options.

Re: My new 1991 trans am

Always loved this color for 91. That is a great car for 500, guy must have wanted it gone.

Can't wait to see it cleaned up.

How many miles? Anything else about it that we would all like to know?

Re: My new 1991 trans am

Its got.high miles 147xxx but it runs perfect the guy and his wife are buying a camper and driving around usa. He made sure that before he sighed the title he asked me what my plans for it was and i told him was i wanted to restore it back to the way it was when it was new and show it he actually teared up cause that is what he wanted to do but never got the time. Also the reason the wheels are gold is because he wanted a gta but couldnt get it in the blue he paid to have the dealership paint them for him. Im debating on keeping them gold or going back to the silver color that the rpo calls for
