I'm buying a 84 s/e with auto from a guy that seems to know cars fairly well.He said it has a H.O. 305 motor in it.There are no rpo codes in it that I could see.These people have owned the car most of its life.so it's most likely the one that came in the car.Is the such a thing as a HO,LG4? Or could it have a stock L69 HO in it. What are the chances it would have a possi drum rearend?Is there a spot I can find for sure on the motor? I will be pulling it to put into a sports coupe. the bird has unrepairable front end damage.

No such thing has a HO LG4. Also, the L69 was n/a in the SE. Hopefully you aren't paying much, I wouldn't take an LG4 if you gave it to me...

HO would have a 'G' in the eighth digit on the VIN.

I didnt think they did.But the stats said the se was avalible with every option the TA had,so I had to ask to make sure.I've seen the hrs power numbers and agree the motor dosnt put out much.600 for the car.power train is in good shape and from the doors back the car is good.Doors opn and close good.hood and hatch stay up. windshield wiper motor.wheels.Alota good stuff in it.So to get one of my cars back on the road and moving,it will do for now.
