I have no idea where to put this. I am new to the site and to third gen camaros.i am looking at a 1991 rs that is in pretty good shape, a lot of work has been done both cosmetically as well as mechanically. The only issue is the car has 174000 miles. It is a 350 RS. Alpine white with red interior. So I am wondering approx. what the value would be on this? Sorry if this is in the wrong spot I assume someone will move it where it goes. Thanks!

Unless it a B4C (aka, police package) the 350 isn't stock. If it is a B4C that changes the value of the car.

That's not a B4C, that came with an LO3 throttle body injected 305

Ah, I just found where it says that the "e" is a 305. I am wondering if he messed up, or if there was a 350 swap.

So at 174000 miles if it is the 305 what would that be valued at? If it's a motor swap without any paperwork what would that be at?

Where are you located at? The swapped engine will change the value depending on how hard it makes it to smog check if you are subject to that.

You could check those sites okfoz mentioned, but the biggest site to check is just your local craigslist. They made so many RS's with the 305 in 1991. If it is a manual, they are worth more, but I would stay away from that car unless you are sure they did the 350 swap correctly. I could've gotten a poorly swapped Lt1 89 RS for 1500, but Instead I got a bone stock 91 RS with 177k for 1200 so I didn't have to fix anyone elses mistakes. Post pictures of it

I am in Maine. I have looked around but it's hard to find anything that accounts for miles or a possible engine swap.

Here are the pictures. I just looked at a 1992 305 on Craigslist and they wanted 2500 for it, it needed a whole paint job and a bit of other work on it.

Man that's a pretty car, looks in great condition from the pics, that dash is excellent too. If it runs good and checks out with minimal leaks don't let the 305 scare you off if that's what is indeed in it. Looks like a nice car.

Nice car. If its the stock 305 you may be better off than a hack job mystery motor 350 anyhow. Car looks to be in good shape and priced rite

This ones not 2500, that was a different one I looked at m, this one is 3100, which from looking at craigslist in my area seems to be a little higher than most

I think 3100 is a fair price for the white one. Offer him 2800 cash. I would NEVER buy a molested car unless I new who I was getting it from, or if the seller didnt mind if I crawled through everything on the car to make sure I knew what I was getting in to.

Unless it's been restored, correctly resto-modded, or otherwise professionally built (track car, show car, etc), I wouldn't pay more than $3500 for any thirdgen with 174000 miles on it.
