Re: 287 MILE 1991 CAMARO RS
I'll be the first to nit-pick it.
Looks like someone swapped the lexan t-tops for glass. Also it could use one of those reproduction battery labels.
Car is probably worth about half of what he's asking, even with the miles. At the end of the day, it's still a base V6. Man, it's stupid nice though! Wish mine still looked like that.

I agree....I believe that if the story doesnt make sense, then you dont have all the info. Maybe there is a Chrysler K car in mint condition from that collection up for grabs as well.....
If it was a Z-28 in this condition, I dont think he would have to advertise it to sell it.

Don't get me wrong, it's a cool car and somebody will pay high dollar. I just think that buyer is still about 15-20 years into the future. A comparable 1967-1973 Camaro with a 6 cylinder would be bought up quick, but it took that era as a whole to rise before the base cars started fetching money. Even then, it's still at risk of becoming a donor car for a drivetrain swap.

Would I pay this money for this car, no. Would I pay $5,000 for this car, probably not. I have zero interest in it. Someone else might just because of how low mileage it is, and how original it is. Unfortunately the market for this type of optioned car I think is extremely small. It would be a shame to see it parted out. Am I prepared to buy it and save it from such a fate? Nope. But someone with money, might buy it just to be able to say they have a 25 year old car with 200 miles on it.

It is too bad that it is a V6, but keep in mind that is in canadian dollars. He says he is open to offers. I figure a guy could get it for around $15,000 US, maybe less. If it was a loaded 305 or 350 car Im sure the price would be double. I think the price is ok, it will just take the right buyer.....wont be me. Not interested in the car and the price has nothing to do with it.

He probably wants $21k US dollars. We Canadians that list cars for sale on US websites such as Hemmings have enough sense to list in US dollars because that's 90% of the potential market.
The "bubble dome" is cool, but how much electricity will it consume over the course of 26 years and how often does the motor in the air pump burn out?
You guys are right. This whole project is ill-conceived.
