Finding the history of my IROC
Hey guys...sorry I kinda double posted this in another area...not the exact wording but still. Okay, so I have an 87 IROC...I'm trying to find the best company, website to get the vehicles history? I know it was made in Norwood...but I want to know the places it was bought and sold afterwords. I hear CarFax is mainly for the newer cars? And stuff this old may not have been reported to them? Thanks for the help.

There isn't an easy answer. Most places you can't get official records, Carfax is voluntary and frequently incomplete or blatantly incorrect. GM Archives might be able to get you an invoice with the original selling dealer, but not who bought it from the dealer.
Unless you have a physical paper trail, there's really no way to know.

you can also go to motor vehicle and get an owner report. They do charge for this, but they can track owners by titles.

If the state you are searching in has bad/incomplete records all of the reporting agencies will be no better.
