You need to decode your RPO codes. Lots of good threads on here on how to do that.

Welcome to TGO!

Not rare at all. What options on the car have you thinking it may be rare? The color combination? Rear view mirror? 350?

I don't believe any '87 IROC-Z is "rare", in the sense of limited production numbers equalling higher value. Now, if that '87 IROC-Z is fully loaded, low miles and extra clean, it will carry a higher value than standard book. But that's pretty much the case with all years. There are only a few 3rd gens that are "rare" and "valuable" just because of what they are.

Agree with jay123, decode your RPO codes. Or you can post up a pic of your SPID label and others might be able to assist you. Your car does not sound rare by any means (just based on the information in your thread title).

There is nothing rare about *ANY* 1987 IROC-Z that will increase it's value over any other 1987 IROC-Z. There are rare options, like having a tan roof on an '87 Z28 convertible, or having the LB9/5 speed on an '87 Z28 convertible, but neither of those options will drive the price any higher than any other 87 Z28 convertible in the same condition.

I have one. It's a seldom seen combo with the leather (and beautiful in my opinion), not as many out there from what I have seen as other color combos, but like mentioned above most 87's do not carry rare color or RPO codes... but it's my favorite year of them all... Post up some pics! Here is mine.
