Where can I find roof panel braces?
1982 Chevy Camaro-restoring metal at t-top roof weatherstripping area. Metal has severe rust and intend to remove/replace steel channel members. Also would like a schematic on the structural members for this vehicle in case I need to order other members/structural parts.

You can replace the entire channel system on these cars if the substructure is in good shape. The ttop center bar is held on with screws and sometimes adhesive. The front and back rails can be removed from the car body, they're just spot welded on which you can remove with a good spot weld cutting set. You can either drill off some good ones at a junk yard or you can order new rails see here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...-channels.html
For the ttop center bar, you can find a better used one or go stainless steel: http://www.hawksmotorsports.com/cama...eel-t-top-bar/
I think there might be other companies making them, but those are some examples.
If you need advice or help in the process, feel free to contact me, I've done this twice now on my own car and a friend's.
