I received my battery topper and it's awesome. This is how it looks in my 1982 Z28. When and if you do make one for the smaller battery, I will be a buyer for sure. This will have to do for now....there's just a little over hang on each side, but most people will probably never notice. The quality of these is great! Burd is a super great dude to work with.
This thread is a bit outdated, but I read through it and am interested in a black topper for my 85 vette that I want to take to Bloomington Gold. The battery I need is a 75 size, did that size ever get molded?
Sorry for the late response red85vette, but the cost to make a tool for the 75 series batteries is too expensive. There just is not enough interest to spend the money on a new tool for a smaller battery topper.

what cars is this battery correct for? The black topper that is made is for cars through 86-87. So far, you 2 are the only people wanting this type. I’m getting a price ro digitize this decal set, a few can chip in to get this made.
What version are you getting made? I have the original of my 1986 and it doesn't match any I have seen in this posting. I had plans to get some made this week but the corona virous may slow that down. this is part of what was on my original battery
That looks to yet be another type. If you wnt to pay for the digitizing fee, I’ll get the decals made. I can’t invest into another decal that one person is interested in. I have to get 50 min made up when I do them. So if someone pays the dig fee it’s doable. Ill pay for the run of decals.

These toppers fit a 78 series battery, white interstate battery’s looks closest to factory, smaller battery’s will have a slight over hang on end. Unless it’s a Third Gen only show, I doubt anyone there would know what was correct. Probably any black/white/silver/yellow Delco topper like above would pass most judges inspection.

I agree. Even most third gen people wouldn't know, unless they still had their original battery.
I don’t know if I ever posted my ‘78 with one, here’s a Freedom 400. I found my second battery in my moms garage a few years back. I went to Diehard after that battery, Freedom is correct through 1980. Then 1981 went to Freedom II. ( blue top)
All toppers fit on a 78 series battery. It’s just too expensive to make 3 molds.
the new topper will say Freedom, not Freedom II, Black & white decals, on a black topper. Same 2 pc Plexi Eye.
