Aftermarket Wheels Or ?
On the 89 IROC I bought last week the wheels don't look like I think they should, they are not painted and they have these markings. Any input as to whether the are GM or aftermarket and why not painted is appreciated.

They look GM to me.
The mark is the institute in Japan that maintains standards for alloy wheels. Kinda like seeing the "UL" symbol on some electrical something you buy for your house. Has nothing whatsoever to do with their source.
Hard to tell about "painted". The spokes were clear-coated, and the "bays" between them were usually a medium gray kinda color.
