Advice on parking lights.
I want to replace my parking lights and I want the OEM look on them. I found these that say Genuine GM
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/85-92-Iro...QAAOSwaadapfzX
but I think they look to bright compared to what I found searching the boards.
See the thread below.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/hist...1985-iroc.html
Even the Depo ones look more oem to me but i rather have something thats stamped GM
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Turn-Sign....c100005.m1851
Any suggestions? Any other vendor selling something close to OEM? GM seems to have discontinued these and if i can find a NOS pair they probably isnt within reach for my budget.
Thanks!

Re: Advice on parking lights.
You could treat them like foggy composite headlights. Assuming your existing turn signals aren't completely trashed, they respond well to buffing with compound, or if they're really bad start with wet sanding with progressively finer grits and then follow with a compound. Of course if they're really bad, you may have dirt and debris between the diffuser and the inside of the lens, or the chrome backing may be faded.
Back in the day, Willie (https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/member.php?u=184) had a method of removing the outer lens and replacing it with plexi or something similar. It gave a unique appearance without standing out too much. Might be worth looking deep into the archives to see if you can find any reference to his approach.

The reason they look too bright is because they are. The originals have black internals and the ones you're showing have grey and chrome. It was mentioned a few years ago when another member purchased replacements and noticed they didn't look the same as their originals. I think some of the aftermarket sets are using black now.

Re: Advice on parking lights.
Thanks for the replies! The lights on my car is to far gone to be polished im afraid. I searched ebay again and came up with these lights.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Camaro-IR...4116%7Ciid%3A1
They seems to be the correct ones to me and with GM stamping too. Any comment on them?
Maybe im too picky on this but i want this car to look OEM plus with the shipping cost to europe its hard to send back something im not satisfied with. Thanks again!

They look correct, but the price is high compared to what I've seen others at lately. The going price was about $55 each, unless that's recently changed. What about this one?
