Correct 1991-92 RS emblems?

About to buy a set of emblems for my car, but not sure which style is correct. I've seen ones that are the same color throughout, and I've seen ones that have 3 different shades of whatever color the emblem is. Which is correct?

Both... Or more accurately, some colors had body color emblems, and some had silver.

Right, I know I need Silver ones, but some of the Silver ones I have seen have one solid shade of Silver throughout, while others have 3 different shades of Silver on the emblem. Ended up buying the latter, so hopefully that's correct...

Ah, I get what you're asking now... I'm not sure. The Parts & Illustration catalog sometimes will help sort that kind of thing out. Usually I'm not much for the "do what you like" but in this case, I don't think you can go wrong. But that's just my take.

If you do go looking for it in the book, it'll be in the big lists of numbers and options, not the general illustrations.

I believe the '91 and '92 RS used the more aluminum looking silver emblem. The '89 and '90 used the tri-shade grey emblem.

Well I guess I can add the emblems to my list of "best of 3rd gen parts that aren't necessarily correct for my car" parts that I've bought. At least I saved 20% on them, plus they look fancier than the single shade emblems.
